@norikawa You're basically just saying 'British surnames sound like fantasy novels'. Because it's literally just John James Sainsbury founded Sainsburys, Waitrose was founded by Wallace Waite and Arthur Rose, etc etc.

@norikawa @Vordus Th uk only looks like a fantasy land until you live in it. I lived in it for a semester, and the most fantastic thing about it were the castles everywhere, but to UK people those are just nbd.

British surnames sound like fantasy to us because most fantasy we consume on this side of the pond has a British twist to it, and you can thank Tolkien for that.
