Mmm honestly I don't think Steven Pinker is so bad, he's definitely still worth a read. His ideology regarding social progress may be a bit milquetoast, but his research on it is flawless. Even if his conclusions are weak, he still shows his work, and that's valuable enough on it's own.
@vegetablegremlin @Dayglochainsaw @dankwraith His scuzzy personal relationships aside, my main issue with him is that he serves to defend capitalism by way of a faith in future technological solutions, and that will get bad, quickly. Look at how frequently American liberals flirt with race science to explain systematic failures and abuses of minorities.
